  • Interpretive Planning

Planning for an engaging and memorable visitor experience is vital to the success of any interpretive project and good interpretive design stems from a well thought-out interpretive plan. We take the time to understand your site, audience, the stories you have to tell and work with you to develop the key themes and messages before recommending the best interpretive media to convey those stories on multiple levels. A sound interpretive plan is vital for funding applications and we have worked with many organisations on successful HLF and other funding applications.
  • Interpretive Design

Good interpretive design, through a broad range of media, helps to engage your audience, making their visit inspirational and memorable. The design process begins with the team listening carefully to what you want to achieve before developing the designs through collaborative discussions. Informed by the planning process we visualise our concepts and use these to stimulate.
  • Interpretive Writing

Writing engaging text is a skill. Balancing the number of words with creating meaningful interpretive text is a challenge. Text must be organised, relevant and thematic. Our Interpretive writers have many years experience of writing engaging interpretive text which appeals to visits of all ages and abilities.
  • Interpretive Graphics

Great stories and well thought-out design require great graphics to complete the picture. We understand the impact that good graphic design has on the overall visitor experience. Through Bright Brands we work closely with the interpretive planners, designers and the client team to provide graphics for digital media, exhibitions signs, leaflets and AV installations
  • Project & Build Management

Our project managers are an integral part of the team from the outset of the project. Initially their role is to ensure that the proposed designs are realistic and achievable. They ensure that all elements of the project installation can withstand the test of time –and visitors. The completion of a job may require the input of one or several specialist suppliers - from lighting and AV to fit out contractors and everything in between. Key to successful installation is the co-ordination of these suppliers. We ensure that individual suppliers can all work together as a team – each one understanding the scope of the project in relation to their specialism and the others involved.
  • Feasibility Studies

Assessing the strengths, weaknesses, operational and commercial sustainability of a project at the outset is vital. A feasibility study will provide costed options and detailed information for funding applications. Working with experienced business planners we provide an objective and unbiased assessment of the project with a clearly defined vision.
  • Consultation

Interpretive projects often have many stakeholders whose needs must be recognised, understood and incorporated into the project at the very beginning. Consultation in whatever form – one to one discussion, focus groups, workshops or public meetings, not only helps the team understand the requirements and ambitions of the stakeholders, but often helps the stakeholders to understand the project. Many of our projects have involved consultations throughout the duration of the project.
  • Funding Support

We understand funding policy and practice and work with the client team and their specialists which may include architects, activity planners and business planners to develop funding applications.
  • Exhibition Design

Whether its interpretive design for permanent, temporary exhibitions or trade stands the designs must be attractive and engaging to a wide range of visitors. From initial consideration through to final delivery we design, project manage and deliver your story in a way which is unique, compelling and reflects your brand.
