The brief was simple: Create the Best Whisky Shop in the World.”
In 2011, Bright 3D were commissioned by the Scotch Whisky Experience to create ‘The Best Whisky shop in the World’ We worked closely with the team at the SWE, sub-consultants and contractors to achieve a retail offer that is fully integrated into the overall visitor experience.
As visitors enter the shop they are greeted with an enticing retail experience which combines traditional display methods, interpretive media and cutting edge technology.
The focal point of the store is the stunning ‘Wonderwall’ which combines new lighting technology with emotive media to capture and represent the essence and origins of Whisky and convey the unique character and personality of the Scotch Whisky Experience.
The striking slate wall at the rear of the store, with its illuminated, colour-changing apertures tells the story of the Art of Blending using a variety of eclectic whisky related objects. This technique usually seen in a museum environment does not look out of place within this unique store.
A sense of luxury is reflected in the exclusive VIP area on the newly created mezzanine. Visitors can view a range of exclusive products on the specially created iPad application and then discuss their choice with their personal whisky expert.

In January 2016, the Scotch Whisky Experience won the the Distillery Experience Award for Best Retail Experience.
