Provide a world-class visitor experience; engaging visitors with the landscape, wildlife, local food production, physical activities, cultural and natural heritage of Northumberland National Park and the surrounding action areas.”
Bright 3D alongside DBA have been appointed by the Northumberland National Park Authority to produce an interpretation plan and concept designs for The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre, located at Once Brewed at the far south of the park. The plan and concept designs will be used to support the HLF Round 2 Application.
In collaboration with architects JDDK and landscape designers Glen Kemp we are looking at interpretive opportunities both within the Landscape Discovery Centre and throughout the wider site of The Sill. The aim of the site-wide interpretation will be to connect people with the landscape – physically and emotionally and to provide a Gateway to the National Park.
We were delighted to hear in February 2015 that the project had received £7.8m from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Work on the next phase of the project will begin soon. We will post updates here as the project progresses.
