In 2013 Skyscanner were the regional winners of the BCO (British Council for Offices) Best Fit-Out of Workplace award.
Design a flexible, vibrant, stimulating and flexible office space which reflects the company’s personality and allows for future growth.”
Skyscanner wanted a large, open plan space which fostered a collaborative, connected and fun work ethos.
The company had recently rebranded, the concentric circles within Skyscanner’s brand marque were inspired by search locations around the globe. The new visual identity needed to be expressed throughout the new office in a fun and engaging way.
Using the bold concentric circle concept, Bright Brands created a ‘master graphic’ device with the Edinburgh office at the centre. Each ‘search pulse’ both defined meeting spaces within the office and flight destinations that could be booked via the website.
Meetings within Skyscanner take many forms – from casual chats around the coffee machine, impromptu discussions to stand ups and of course formal board meetings. The meeting spaces had to be designed to be totally flexible. “Lets go to LA for a quick chat”
We applied frosted vinyl flight codes and bold window vinyls to the glass, large format landscape wallpapers on the walls, a vibrant colour pallete and graphic devices that reflected the brand’s personality.
