The Brief

To undertake a complete upgrade of the existing hospitality facilities creating a 5-star hospitality suite with a unique style and connection to the world of Scotch Whisky.”

Our Response

The project started with a comprehensive review of the spaces and the way in which the facilities are used both from a staff and guests perspective.

The flexibility and understanding of the operational requirements, as well as providing a creative response were key components to the project. The area includes the Castlehill Room, a large function suite capable of seating up to 80 guests and a smaller “Blender’s Room” for more intimate meetings.

Considerable time was spent working with the client to develop a detailed interior scheme which included all aspects of interior finishes, furnishings and unique features all of which connect the spaces to the story of whisky.

An important aspect of the project was the integration of a fully programmable lighting and AV system to provide state of the art facilities across a broad range of hospitality function requirements.
The style the Blender’s Room draws on references of a traditional blender’s room combined with a contemporary palette of materials.

One of the highlights of the Castlehill Room was the installation of two stunning, bespoke “whisky stave chandelier” that are truly unique features in the space.

This room also hosts one of the largest “mirrorvision” AV features installed in Scotland.

The room has been dressed with a number of artworks designed and hand made by a Scottish artist to bring to life the whisky theme in a surprising way.
